Gabe Brown earned his third Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour win of 2025 on Saturday, winning the Pine Tree State 125 at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Brown charged from the 10th starting position to the victory, his second at Oxford Plains with ACT this year. Brown also won the Yvon Bedard 109 on the Friday of Oxford 250 weekend in August.
It isn't a season sweep of the ACT events at Oxford, but two out of three will suffice for the New Hampshire native. He finished fourth in the Oxford 125, one night after his Yvon Bedard 109 victory.
"I feel like we should have won that second night, too," said Brown. "I just burned my right front off in the third groove, trying to get the front. It just had nothing left there at the end of that race.
"Honestly, got too tight here today. There's no third groove, no second groove. I had to lock it down on the bottom. These guys just worked so hard, gave me two badass race cars this weekend."
In Friday's PASS Kennebec Equipment Rental 150, Brown was on the verge of a podium finish. However, he came together with Max Cookson as the two drivers battled for third place on the final lap.
"I made a huge mistake last night," said Brown. "Cost us a good finish, and another person a good finish. Just sucks, but we'll move forward to Seekonk. We're still chipping away at that championship."
Unofficially, Brown is now within 41 points of Raphael Lessard in the battle for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour championship. That title will be decided at the Haunted Hundred at Seekonk Speedway on October 25.
Brown dedicated his win on Saturday to the loss of a family friend, whose name adorned the passenger window of Brown's No. 47.
"I just want to dedicate this win to Elwin King. Pork, he was one of our long-time family friends and one of the sponsors on the side of this car, too. This one's for him."
Brandon Barker, who finished second to Austin Teras in Friday's Kennebec Equipment Rental 150, was once again runner-up on Saturday with the American-Canadian Tour.
"We didn't need the yellow because the top was awful," said Barker. "Lapped traffic was a little tough to deal with there. Second last night, second tonight. Hopefully, we can do something tomorrow and finally win."
Derek Gluchacki, battling for the Kulwicki Cup as a finalist in the Kulwicki Driver Development Program, finished third while using one of his 'Wild Card' races for the program.
"A limited crew, missed the first practice getting tires ready, but we'll take it for third," said Gluchacki. "Just missed the stagger a little bit, and traffic wasn't our friend today. Definitely happy with this.
"Good, good momentum, good Kulwicki points day. Used the Wild Card, kept it in the top three and did what we needed to do."
Lessard finished fourth, with Erick Sands rounding out the top five.
