The Rogers-Dabbs Pro Late Model Challenge for the Southern Pro Series reaches the halfway mark this weekend, with the fourth race of the 2025 series taking place at Mobile International Speedway. It's already shaping up to be a fight to the finish, with only 12 points separating the top three drivers.
The eight-race Rogers-Dabbs Challenge consists of two races each at four tracks - Five Flags Speedway, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, Mobile International Speedway and Montgomery Motor Speedway. With visits to Five Flags, Nashville and Montgomery in the books, it's now Mobile's turn to host its first Rogers-Dabbs race of 2025.
After the first three races, John Bolen is the points leader, with a six-point advantage over Dustin Smith. Jim Wall is 12 points behind Bolen, with Aidan Potter 26 points back in fourth.
The Rogers-Dabbs Challenge opened at Five Flags Speedway, with Jake Finch picking up the victory in that race. Smith finished second with Bolen crossing the line third, starting the Challenge off on the right foot.
In May, Bolen won at Montgomery Motor Speedway in the Disturbing the Peace 100. It was his second win of the season at Montgomery, after winning the Alabama 200 to start the year.
The most recent event in the Rogers-Dabbs Challenge took place at Nashville, the Rackley Roofing Battle of Broadway 150. The event also brought in the traveling stars of the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, as well as NASCAR Cup Series competitor Josh Berry before the NASCAR weekend at nearby Nashville Superspeedway.
Trey Craig inherited his second consecutive victory in the event after Berry was disqualified following post-race technical inspection. Smith, Wall and Bolen finished fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively, keeping them close together in the Rogers-Dabbs points standings.
The Pro Late Models will do battle for 100 laps on Saturday at Mobile International Speedway. Smith currently leads Mobile's Pro Late Model track championship, giving him extra motivation for a strong showing on Saturday. He has two wins at Mobile this year, with Seth Christensen also holding a victory at the half-mile in 2025.
They'll be joined on Saturday by the Sportsman/Street Stock Tri-Track Cruise Quest competing for 40 laps, as well as Pro Trucks and Crown Stocks. Racing begins at 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET.
