John Bolen scored his second Show Me the Money Series victory of the season on Saturday night, winning the Disturbing the Peace 100 at Montgomery Motor Speedway.

Bolen inherited the lead on lap 71, as Jake Finch was issued a black flag for an infraction on the previous restart. From there, Bolen held off Jim Wall to score his second consecutive Disturbing the Peace 100 victory.

The Jasper, Alabama native had trouble of his own, spinning on lap 43 after contact with Augie Grill. However, Bolen knew he had a car strong enough to back to the front, showing the same muscle he used to win the Alabama 200 earlier this year.

"Yeah, we brought pretty much the same package we won the 200 with," said Bolen in victory lane. "I wasn't able to make it yesterday. Dylan Fetcho and [Christopher] Tullis made a lap in it and shook it down. We unloaded it today, made one minor change, and I mean, that thing was just a rocket ship.

"I hate that we got spun there early. It was just a racing deal. I knew that if we took our time and didn't tear anything up, we could be there at the end and it all worked out."

Jim Wall jumped out front and led the first 61 laps of Saturday's race before surrendering the lead to Finch. While his car was strong enough to hold on to second place, Wall admitted he pushed too hard during the first half of the race.

"We had a really good car tonight, no doubt," said Wall. "I probably should have paced it a little better there in the first 50. Even after the first 50, we were still leading for a bit there. We probably ran a bit too hard. Probably should have let Jake [Finch] go a little earlier and saved our tires a little bit. Overall, we had two shots there at the end. We just didn't have anything for them on the outside."

Aidan Potter also overcame adversity, suffering damage in the opening laps that forced him to be pushed to pit road. He rebounded for a third-place finish, his first podium finish with the Show Me the Money Series after a pair of fourth-place results to open the year.

"Obviously, we had that contact early on," said Potter. "I think that's a little bit on me for being impatient super early. I should have let it play out. Besides that, we rode there for probably until whenever the yellow came out. I knew you'd burn your stuff up trying to chase someone where I was already at. Shoot, I'm in the back, you know, I can't go more back than I am already.

"I just started saving my stuff there, and after the break, we had the pace there. I mean, it showed. We made a pretty awesome move there around the two cars on the outside. I'm sorry, my suit is white but there's a brown spot on it now. Overall, I want to thank this Fetcho Motorsports team. Hot rod, I tell you. This thing was flying."

Despite being a two-time Show Me the Money Series champion, this marks the first time in Bolen's career that he has won more than one race during a Show Me the Money Series season.

The Show Me the Money Series returns to action on June 7 as part of a Late Model doubleheader at Montgomery Motor Speedway. That night, the Show Me the Money Pro Late Models will be joined by the ASA Southern Super Series.
