Five Flags Speedway officials announced Thursday that the entry form for the 58th Annual Snowball Derby presented by FloSports will be available on Tuesday, July 1.
The 2025 edition of the Snowball Derby will pay $50,000 to the winner. Snowball Derby week begins on Wednesday, December 3, with a full week of activity leading up to the 300-lap Super Late Model race on Sunday, December 7.
To encourage drivers to submit their advance entries for the biggest event in pavement Super Late Model racing, a prize package valued at more than $5,000 will be given to one lucky driver, thanks to support from Simpson Race Products, Holley, MSD, Hoosier Tire, and Sunoco Race Fuels.
All drivers who submit their entries for the 58th Annual Snowball Derby between prior to Friday, August 1 will be entered into a random drawing for the prize package. The winning driver will be determined prior to the Qualifying Drawdown on Wednesday, December 3, the first day of activity at Five Flags Speedway during Snowball Derby week.
The qualifying draw order will also be determined by order of entry, adding another incentive to submit entry forms.
The Snowball Derby week begins on Wednesday, December 3 with hauler parking and the annual pit party. The Qualifying Drawdown take place during the pit party for both Super Late Model and Pro Late Model teams.
Late Model teams take the track for the first time on Thursday, December 4, with practice during the morning and afternoon. The Dock of Pensacola Beach Sportsman, Lloyd's Glass Pure Stocks and Gulf Real Estate Pro Trucks compete Thursday evening in their Snowball Derby feature events.
Friday, December 5 marks the most stressful qualifying session in short track racing, as the top 30 drivers in qualifying lock into Sunday’s Snowball Derby. The Modifieds of Mayhem Tour and Story & Bleich Crown Stock Invitational follow Snowball Derby qualifying.
Saturday, December 6 brings a busy day of racing. Following Allen Turner Snowflake 100 qualifying, there are Last Chance Qualifiers for both the Snowball Derby and Snowflake 100. The 22nd Annual Snowflake 100 follows, with the Faith Chapel Outlaws division closing out the evening.
Last year, Kaden Honeycutt joined the list of drivers to hoist the Tom Dawson Trophy as a winner of the Snowball Derby.
For the second straight year, the 58th Annual Snowball Derby will be broadcast live on FloRacing. For more information about the Snowball Derby, visit www.snowballderby.com.
