The Vores Compact Touring Series powered by Mercer County Electric enters its 15th season of competition on Sunday, starting the year with the SERVPRO Bowl Classic at Shadybowl Speedway.
The Vores Compact Touring Series began in 2012, competing primarily at Winchester Speedway with one race on the dirt at Eldora Speedway. Since then, it has grown to a prominent touring series for grassroots Compacts competitors, visiting some of the premier short tracks in the country each year.
The 2026 Vores Compact schedule is an extension of that, returning to Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on July 11 as part of the series' D&J Sales Big Track Challenge. The Big Track Challenge also includes visits to Toledo Speedway, Winchester and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.
Shadybowl Speedway, the host of the Bowl Classic, has been a fixture on the Vores calendar since 2013. Last year, inclement weather prevented the running of the Bowl Classic, but it returns with a roar in 2026.
In the most recent running of the SERVPRO Bowl Classic, young Karter Stark scored the victory ahead of his father Kyle Stark, who won the event in 2020. The younger Stark enters 2026 as the defending Vores Compact Touring Series Prime Promotions Points Standings champion.
As of Tuesday, March 24, 27 Vores Compact Touring Series entries were filed for this year's SERVPRO Bowl Classic. Among the entrants are Karter Stark, three-time series champion Tom Gossar, 2017 champion Bo Hoelscher and 2025 Corner Station Senior Champion Tim Cassidy.
Justin Brown, who won at both Anderson Speedway and Winchester with the series in 2025, is also entered, as well as Five Flags Speedway race winner Aaron Tatman.
The SERVPRO Bowl Classic is part of the Cabin Fever Championships at Shadybowl Speedway on Sunday. Street Stocks, Modifieds, Late Models and Crown Vics will also be in action as part of the Sunday afternoon show.
Racing begins at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 29 from Shadybowl. General admission tickets are available for $20, with children's admission for ages 6-12 at $5 and free of charge for ages five and under.
