Ardent fans of Richard Childress Racing have likely noticed some branding on the A Post of Austin Dillon's No. 3 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Cup Series this season. The logo is that of R3, a technology solutions provider, which has partnered with the six-time NASCAR Cup Series championship-winning organization.
On Tuesday, Richard Childress Racing and R3 revealed details about the partnership, which kicked off this season.
In addition to the associate sponsorship of Dillon's No. 3 Chevrolet, RCR, which embraces its identity as a blue-collar race team, and R3 are working side-by-side for real-world solutions to RCR's IT managed services.
“RCR continues to explore ways to utilize technology to enhance operations and become more secure, more agile, and more intelligent,” said Mike Verlander, president of RCR. “Our partnership with R3 helps to elevate our IT strategy and operational resilience. We welcome R3 to RCR and look forward to building successful business outcomes together.”
R3 is honored to partner with the iconic RCR team and is glad to help the race team as it navigates the modern world of cloud-based technology.
“We’re proud to partner with Richard Childress Racing and help unlock the full potential of their cloud-based technology operations,” said Robert McGowan, chief executive officer for R3. “We are looking forward to providing solutions in managed IT while working in tandem to build a comprehensive marketing plan.”
Richard Childress Racing fields two full-time NASCAR Cup Series entries, the No. 3 driven by Austin Dillon and the No. 8 driven by Kyle Busch, in addition to a part-time No. 33 entry driven by a mixture of drivers.
RCR also fields two full-time entries in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the No. 2 driven by Jesse Love and the No. 21 driven by Austin Hill.
In addition to six NASCAR Cup Series championships, the storied organization has also amassed 117 NASCAR Cup Series wins. RCR has also secured five NASCAR Xfinity Series championships and 101 wins in that series, as well as two championships and 31 wins in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
