Ryan Blaney scored the victory in the final race of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, while Kyle Larson secured his second series championship with a third-place finish.
Denny Hamlin held a comfortable lead in the closing laps of the race before a flat tire sent fellow championship contender William Byron into the outside wall in turn three. That set the stage for an overtime restart, where Hamlin restarted on the inside on the fifth row with four tires, behind several drivers who either stayed out or only took right-side tires.
One of the drivers who took right-side tires was Larson, who used those tires to move up to third-place in the running order. That kept him ahead of Hamlin, who finished sixth, and earned a second NASCAR Cup Series championship for the California native.
Ryan Blaney narrowly crossed the finish line ahead of Brad Keselowski, with a margin of victory of just 0.097 seconds. Keselowski finished third, followed by Larson, Joey Logano and Kyle Busch.
Larson previously won the NASCAR Cup Series Championship in 2021. He was the only driver in the Championship 4 - consisting of Chase Briscoe, Byron, Hamlin and Larson - who entered Sunday with a previous Cup Series championship.
Briscoe finished 18th after battling several flat tires throughout the day, while Byron finished 33rd after his late incident.
