With the announcement of the CARS Tour entry lists on Friday, we also saw another addition to the cavalcade of NASCAR Cup Series drivers taking part in the two nights of Late Model racing at North Wilkesboro Speedway ahead of the NASCAR All-Star Race.

Harrison Burton, the driver of the No. 21 for Wood Brothers Racing in the Cup Series, will pilot a fourth entry for Chad Bryant Racing in the CARS Late Model Stock Tour event at North Wilkesboro on Wednesday, May 17.

Burton is a former CARS Tour winner, albeit in its former Super Late Model division. Burton won in 2017 at Concord Speedway in the CARS Super Late Model Tour, and also scored wins in the Rattler 250 and SpeedFest while cutting his teeth in Super Late Models.

On Wednesday, Burton discussed the possibility of competing in the event at North Wilkesboro during a media availability, saying he hoped a deal would come together to get some track time ahead of the All-Star Race.

"I'm excited to do that if I can, just to try and get some laps on that racetrack," said Burton. "That would be really important, I think just to have an advantage. We'll see how it goes."

He will be competing with Chad Bryant Racing, giving the team four entries in the race. Along with CARS Tour full-time competitors Mason Diaz and Connor Hall, Chase Briscoe is also entered in the event with Chad Bryant Racing.

Others who have entered either the ASA STARS National Tour event on Tuesday, May 16 or the CARS Tour events on Wednesday, May 17 include Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kevin Harvick, Chase Elliott, Ross Chastain, Daniel Suarez, William Byron, Brad Keselowski, Erik Jones and Noah Gragson.
