Chase Elliott's return to Super Late Model racing continues during the month of May in North Carolina.

Elliott, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion, has announced plans to compete in a pair of ASA STARS National Tour events this month. He will compete on Tuesday, May 16 at North Wilkesboro Speedway and Thursday, May 25 at Hickory Motor Speedway.

"Keepin' it traditional," said Elliott on Twitter. "Running at @NWBSpeedway & @hickoryspeedway in my @fr8auctions super late model with @HendrickCars and new sponsor @SunocoRacing on board."

Elliott scored Super Late Model wins at both Hickory and North Wilkesboro while he was cutting his teeth on his way up the racing ladder. He won at Hickory in a Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model Series event in 2009, becoming the youngest winner in PASS history in the process. He also won at North Wilkesboro with PASS in 2010.

Elliott competed in SpeedFest 2023 at Crisp Motorsports Park (GA) in January, retiring early after being involved in an incident 20 laps shy of the finish.

Elliott joins a growing list of NASCAR drivers who will be taking part in Late Model races at North Wilkesboro Speedway in the buildup to the NASCAR All-Star Race. Others who have entered either the ASA STARS National Tour event or the CARS Tour events on Wednesday, May 17 include Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kevin Harvick, Ross Chastain, Daniel Suarez, Chase Briscoe, Brad Keselowski, Erik Jones and Noah Gragson.

The ASA STARS National Tour ECMD 150 will take place on Tuesday, May 16. The CARS Tour races on Wednesday, May 17 with the Crossroads Harley-Davidson 75 for the Pro Late Models and the Window World 125 for Late Model Stock Cars.
