Add another NASCAR star to the expected entry list for the CARS Tour at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Wednesday, May 17.

Chase Briscoe, the driver of the No. 14 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford in the NASCAR Cup Series, announced he will drive for Chad Bryant Racing in the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour event during NASCAR All-Star Week at North Wilkesboro.

Briscoe stated the event will be his pavement Late Model debut. Before embarking on his stock car career which includes the ARCA Menards Series championship in 2016 and 14 wins in NASCAR's National Series, Briscoe raced primarily on dirt.

"Making my pavement late model debut in a few weeks with the @CARSTour at North Wilkesboro with @ChadBryantRace thanks to @rushtruckcenter and @TexaConCutStone!" said Briscoe on Twitter

Briscoe will be joined by Stewart-Haas Racing teammate Kevin Harvick in the CARS Tour event at North Wilkesboro. Harvick, who is part of the new ownership group of the CARS Tour, will make his series debut in as a competitor.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. will also be part of the event, returning in the Sun Drop No. 3 out of the JR Motorsports stable. One year ago, Earnhardt, Jr. finished third at North Wilkesboro in his return to Late Model racing as part of North Wilkesboro's month-long Racetrack Revival.

The Briscoe-Chad Bryant Racing partnership will be a reunion of sorts in its own right. Bryant was Briscoe's crew chief during the 2016 ARCA Menards Series championship run with Cunningham Motorsports. Bryant later acquired Cunningham Motorsports, renaming the team to Chad Bryant Racing. The team now competes regularly on the CARS Tour, fielding full-time entries for Connor Hall and Mason Diaz.
