Tovo Brothers Ready for Watkins Glen Challenge in Seventh Round of Trans Am Season

With support from Dicks Sporting Goods, IMC and Nitro Motorsports, twin brothers Ethan and Jackson Tovo are set to return to the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli this weekend. Heading to Watkins Glen International for the seventh round of the 2026 championship, and after a difficult outing at Road America, the brothers are eager to rebound at one of North America's most iconic road courses. Throughout the season, both Ethan and Jackson have steadily improved with each race weekend, consistently moving closer to the front of the highly competitive TA2 field.

Watkins Glen International has been a staple of American road racing for more than 75 years, and houses some of the biggest motorsports events in North America. The historic 3.4-mile, 11-turn circuit is home for the Trans Am Series this coming weekend, and the Tovo twins are hoping to make it a memorable event in the Northeast.

Entering the weekend, Ethan Tovo sits fourth in the National Championship point standings with Jackson in seventh. In the Rookie of the Year battle, the brothers sit second and third respectively, with an abundance of points still available in the 2026 season.

“Road America wasn't the weekend we were hoping for,” explained Ethan. “There were still positives we can build on. Every race this season has helped us grow as drivers, and I feel like we're just inches away from putting together the complete weekend we're capable of. Watkins Glen is an incredible track, and I'm excited to get back out there and continue fighting toward the front.”

“We've shown throughout the season that our pace keeps getting better, even if the results haven't always reflected it,” added Jackson. “That's encouraging because we know we're headed in the right direction. Watkins Glen is a track I've always looked forward to racing, and I think it's another great opportunity for both of us to keep building momentum and challenge for our best finish yet."

As the 2026 season enters its second half, Ethan and Jackson Tovo head to Watkins Glen determined to capitalize on the progress they've made and continue their climb through the Trans Am TA2 field with Nitro Motorsports. The race weekend begins Thursday with testing, before practice and qualifying take place on Friday. Race one will be held on Saturday, with the weekend concluding with race two on Sunday.
