Racing America, SKILLED Nation Celebrating Scholarship Recipients at COTA

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (November 3, 2026) – Racing America is giving one SKILLED Nation scholar an up-close look at the fast lane during their upcoming event at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), November 5-8. As the 2026 season wraps up at the famed Austin, Texas venue during the Garage Living Racing America @ COTA weekend. SKILLED Nation will be on hand for the event, with scholarship recipient Franck Etoh attending as part of the celebration.

SKILLED Nation partners with employers, educators and funders to create and manage scholarship programs that help people start and complete career training. Those scholarships also address financial barriers beyond tuition, such as tools, supplies, transportation, childcare and other eligible expenses.

Etoh came to the United States from Cameroon five years ago, pursuing a technical career in aviation maintenance at Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Houston, Texas. As a SKILLED Nation scholar, the program has reduced some of the financial pressure associated with Etoh’s training as he pursues his dreams in aviation.

“My career goal is to become a successful aviation maintenance technician and obtain my FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate,” said Etoh. “I want to use my skills and experience to contribute to aviation safety, support maintenance teams, and grow professionally in the aviation industry.

“I also want to create a better future for my two sons and show them that, with determination and hard work, it is possible to overcome challenges and achieve your goals.”
