Matthew Brabham is laying the groundwork for what could be a historic weekend for the Trans Am Series by Pirelli at Road America, by winning the pole for both the TA Class and CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series events at the 4.048-mile road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
The Boca Raton, Florida-native, who not even an hour earlier won the pole in his Chris Dyson Racing Ford Mustang in the TA Class, put forward the same incredible performance in the CUBE 3 TA2 Series for Team SLR, defeating teammates Helio Meza and Alon Day in qualifying.
Brabham is making his debut in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series and doing it with the division’s most dominant team, an organization that last weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway earned his 13th consecutive victory in the TA2 Series with Helio Meza.
The lap time of 2:09.162 was good enough to secure the pole position for Brabham in the No. 48 Team SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro, but only by the smallest of margins. Helio Meza, Team SLR’s 18-year-old phenom from Spring, Texas, managed to post a lap just 0.015 seconds behind the 13-time Trans Am winner.
Meza and Alon Day, teammates at Team SLR, have been going back-and-forth for supremacy in the CUBE 3 TA2 Series all year long, and will start second and third on Sunday behind Matthew Brabham.
Gian Buffomante will start Sunday’s event at Road America from fourth, a career-best starting spot for the driver of the No. 95 for Nitro Motorsports. Ethan Tovo, Buffomante’s teammate, will round out the top-five.
Ethan Jacobs, a full-timer in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, will make his CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series debut at Road America, and will roll from sixth place. Jacobs finished second in the MX-5 Cup series’ most-recent event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Lanie Buice, Jackson Tovo, Noah Harmon and Tyler Kicera will round out the top-10 starters.

Jared Odrick (No. 00 Helium Mobile / Black Underwear Chevrolet Camaro) has started from first place in four of the first six CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series PRO/AM Division events to begin 2026, and Saturday at Road America, the former Miami Dolphin has made it five of the first seven.
With a strong lap of 2:11.742 around the 4.048-mile road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Odrick was able to best his main championship adversary, Cale Phillips, to collect the pole position for Sunday’s event by just over seven tenths of a second.
Phillips, who was 10th of the 11 PRO/AM Division drivers in practice on Saturday, made a huge pickup from practice to qualifying and put his Nitro Motorsports No. 99 Toyota Camry XSE second quickest. Keith Prociuk was third, with Doug Winston and Tim Carroll rounding out the top-five.
Roberto Saboto was sixth, with J.C. Meynet seventh, Jim Gallaugher eighth, Matt Gray ninth, and Michael LaPaglia, who had a strong run last time out in the PRO/AM Division at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, rounding out the top-10.
Odrick, the fastest of the PRO/AM drivers, will start 19th overall.
