June 25, 2026 – The Tovo Brothers experienced both triumph and adversity this past weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the Trans Am Series contested its latest round of the 2026 championship with Nitro Motorsports. After showing impressive speed throughout the event, Ethan Tovo captured his first career Trans Am podium finish, while brother Jackson Tovo saw his race end prematurely after opening-lap contact.

Both drivers entered the weekend carrying momentum from a string of steadily improving performances throughout the season, and qualifying confirmed the progress they have made in one of the most competitive fields in the series.

Ethan delivered one of his strongest weekends to date, racing at the front of the field and crossing the finish line fourth. Following post-race adjustments to the results, he was officially promoted to third place, securing his first Trans Am podium finish and a significant milestone in his racing career.

The result continues a season-long trend of improvement for Ethan, who has consistently worked his way closer to the front with each event.

Jackson also showed strong pace throughout the weekend and was poised for a competitive run before his race came to an unfortunate end after contact on the opening lap forced his retirement. Shaken up but unhurt due to the safety of his Toyota, Jackson will need to go to a back up car this weekend as his primary machine was a total loss in the incident.

"It's a really special feeling to finally earn my first Trans Am podium,” says Ethan. “We've been working toward this all season, and every weekend we've gotten a little bit closer. The Nitro Motorsports crew gave me a fantastic car, and to achieve this result at Indianapolis Motor Speedway makes it even more memorable. Hopefully, this is just the beginning, and we can continue building momentum."

"Obviously, it wasn't the result we wanted after showing good speed all weekend, but that's racing sometimes,” says Jackson. “It's disappointing to have the race end on the first lap, especially when we felt like we had a car capable of moving forward. I'm proud of Ethan for getting his first podium, and we'll take what we learned this weekend and focus on bouncing back at Road America."

The brothers will have little time to celebrate or dwell on the weekend's results as they immediately turn their attention to the next round of the Trans Am Series at Road America.

Located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, the historic 4.014-mile circuit is one of the most iconic and demanding road courses in North America. The race weekend will begin with testing on Friday before practice and qualifying take place on Saturday. The Trans Am race will go green on Sunday. Fans can watch all of the action live on the Racing America YouTube channel.

With Ethan's first podium now secured and both drivers continuing to show race-winning potential, the Tovo brothers head to Road America eager to continue their upward trajectory in the 2026 Trans Am championship.
