Through the opening seven events of the 2026 Trans Am Series by Pirelli season, there has been only one driver, Matthew Brabham, to secure a pole position in the TA Class. Brabham continued his qualifying dominance Saturday at Road America, winning the pole position for Sunday afternoon’s event at the 4.048-mile road course in Wisconsin.
In order to secure his seventh pole of 2026, Brabham had to out-run his championship rival, Paul Menard, while also laying down a sub-two-minute lap time around Road America. It wasn’t a clear runaway, though, as the Chris Dyson Racing driver only beat Menard, the fastest driver in Saturday’s practice session, by 0.140 seconds.
Tomy Drissi will start from third, but at a distance, sitting 4.8 seconds behind Brabham’s pole-winning time, with David Pintaric in fourth and Jon DeGaynor rounding out the top-five. Amy Ruman will start shotgun on the TA Class field Sunday after not posting a qualifying lap.

Moore enters the weekend sitting 14 points ahead of Jim Guthrie (No. 62 Guthrie’s Garage Ford Mustang), who will start alongside Moore when the race goes green on Sunday. However, the difference between the two title contenders was massive, sitting at 2.294 seconds.
Ken Thwaits was the third-fastest driver in the TA Cup qualifying session, with David Kunicki managing to post the fourth-fastest lap. Ken Sutherland will start fifth, after not posting a time during the 15-minute session.
