TRANS AM STORYLINES:
TRANS AM SERIES TO CROWN 10 CHAMPIONS IN COTA
It’s officially Championship Weekend for the Trans Am Series by Pirelli, and as the series returns to Austin, Texas to tackle Circuit of The Americas (COTA) once again, there are a lot of championship trophies to hand out – and don’t forget about the race-win trophies, too. A total of 11 CHAMPIONSHIPS will be awarded during the Trans Am portion of the weekend on Sunday.
Here’s a rundown of them all:
TA: Matthew Brabham holds a relatively safe 57-point lead over Paul Menard.
TA2: Helio Meza and Alon Day are neck-and-neck, separated by FIVE POINTS heading into COTA.
TA2 PRO-AM: Cale Phillips holds a 19-point lead over Jared Odrick (worst three races are dropped)
TA SPRINT: John Atwell leads Rob Kacprowicz (P3) by 55 points. P2 (Bruce Raymond) not entered.

TEXANS READY TO TWO-STEP IN TRANS AM FINALE
You know what they say, everything is bigger in Texas – including the hometown flavor in the Trans Am Series by Pirelli’s championship-deciding events at Circuit of The Americas (COTA).
Casey Jones (No. 28 8Twelve Wheels Chevrolet Corvette), Austen Dinger (No. 88 Dinger Excavation Chevrolet Corvette) and Chris Coffey (TrafficGrafix/NAIRacing/GTEEng Ferrari 458 Challenge) are all entered in the TA / GT1 / TAC / XGT / SGT / GT event, scheduled for early on Sunday morning.
Both Dinger and Coffey have been frequent flyers in the Trans Am Series by Pirelli in 2026, while Casey Jones, a native of Conroe, Texas, is making just his second Trans Am start, after a fourth-place finish in the GT Class last November of COTA.
The TA Sprint event is FILLED with native Texans – in fact, of 13 cars, 10 of them are driven by competitors from the state of Texas. They include Dave Keister (No. 02 Fineline Motorsports Ford Mustang), Carl Cramm (No. 03 Eureka Energy Advisors Chevrolet Camaro), John Atwell (No. 07 XRC/DFW Concrete/A&J Lab Portal Ford Mustang), Paul Ruth (No. 11 Paul Ruth Realtor Chevrolet Camaro), Brad Gross (No. 13 TRBAutosport/ManufacturingNews Ford Mustang), Sam Daniels (No. 14 Daniels Racing Ford Mustang), Salvador Santolucito (No. 17 SS Growth Automation Chevrolet Camaro), Frank Widmoser (No. 22 XLine Race Cars Ford Mustang), Rob Kacprowicz (No. 27 5x5 Brewing Ford Mustang), and Rusty Reed (No. 58 Reed Racing Ford Mustang).
That’s not all, though. The CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series has a couple of Texas-natives lined up to compete Sunday. John Atwell (No. 07 XRC/DFW Concrete/A&J Lab Portal Ford Mustang), Joe Federl (No. 2 Bossman Men’s Grooming Ford Mustang), Helio Meza (No. 28 Alessandro’s Racing / SLR-M1 Chevrolet Camaro) and Bryan Scheible (No. 53 MBS Racing Chevrolet Camaro).
With the exception of Atwell, all the Texas-natives in the CUBE 3 TA2 Series have been with Trans Am all season long, and at that, Atwell leads the championship in the TA Sprint.
