Ruman Takes Home 7th in Return to Trans Am at Indy Series Heads North for Road America Cheese Capital Cup This Weekend
Jun 25, 2026
Brad McAllister (No. 24 Peridontal Associates Ford Mustang) has returned to the Trans Am Series by Pirelli this weekend at Road America – like he has two times prior – but this year, the Battle Ground, Washington-native has made the switch from the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series to the TA Sprint.
After Saturday’s 15-minute qualifying session at the 4.048-mile road course, it’s clear that switch has paid off, with McAllister laying down an incredible lap time – winning the pole by nearly two seconds over his closest competitor, TA Cup championship contender Jim Guthrie.
McAllister rose to the occasion in qualifying, managing to get around Road America in 2:12.427, an eight-tenth of a second gain over his best practice lap.
Jim Guthrie (No. 8 Guthrie’s Garage / SLR-M1 Racecars Chevrolet Camaro) will start alongside McAllister in Saturday’s 13-lap event, which will take place on Saturday at 5:20 PM CT / 6:20 PM ET. Jim Gallaugher will start in third, with John Atwell, the inaugural winner of the TA Sprint Class at Sebring International Speedway sitting in fourth.
Bruce Raymond rounded out the top-five in qualifying. Rob Kacprowicz, Naz Olkhovskyi, Christina Lam, and Tim Carroll rounded out the nine-car field.
