Before competing in the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway on Sunday, Kyle Busch paid a visit to victory lane at Dillon Motor Speedway on Saturday night.
Busch, along with his son Brexton, competed at Dillon on Saturday evening in Legends cars, taking advantage of the event less than 40 miles away from "The Lady in Black." Dillon Motor Speedway is also hosting the INEX Legend Car Asphalt Nationals in November, so track time at the South Carolina bullring is invaluable for Legends competitors in 2026.
Kyle Busch competed in the Legends Masters division, scoring the victory in the 25-lap feature. Busch qualified on the pole and led from flag to flag, crossing the finish line ahead of Dwayne Holder and Raeff Judd.
"It was just all good," said Busch in victory lane. "Thank you to everyone for coming out and supporting your local short track. Thanks for being here at Dillon Motor Speedway.
"It was a lot of fun, good characteristics. Tried to get some laps around here to help the little one out, but having some fun with our Lucas Oil race car while doing so.”
The younger Busch competed later in the evening, but had to retire early as his car lost power after 12 laps in the Legends feature. Brexton Busch was scored 22nd in a race won by Jacob Staten.
Before Saturday's racing at Dillon, Busch qualified eighth for Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series Goodyear 400 at Darlington. He will be seeking his 64th career win in NASCAR's premier series, and his second at "The Lady in Black."
Last fall, Busch finished eighth in the Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington. He also scored a runner-up finish in the crown jewel event in 2024.
Sunday's Goodyear 400 begins at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, with coverage on FS1, the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
