Starting Lineup: NASCAR Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona

With lightning surrounding Daytona International Speedway on Friday afternoon, qualifying was cancelled for the NASCAR Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400. With the starting lineup for Saturday's regular season finale set by the qualifying metric, Ryan Blaney will start on the pole for the race.

Blaney will lead the field to the green flag on Saturday evening, with Alex Bowman joining him on the front row. Kyle Larson starts third, followed by Joey Logano and Austin Cindric.

The qualifying metric combines the previous race finish by owner (70%) and the current owner's points position (30%). It is used to determine the qualifying order, as well as the starting lineup at races where qualifying cannot be completed due to inclement weather.

William Byron, who won the Daytona 500 earlier this year, was slated to start eighth. However, he will now start at the rear of the field as part of a penalty following an unapproved adjustment to the splitter of the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. Crew chief Rudy Fugle has also been ejected for the weekend, and Byron will be required to perform a stop-and-go penalty after receiving the green flag in Saturday's race.

Saturday's Coke Zero Sugar 400 takes the green flag at 7:30 p.m. ET. Coverage will be on NBC, the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
