Ram confirmed on Saturday that Kaulig Racing will be the anchor factory team as the truck maker returns to NASCAR in the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
Kaulig Racing, founded by Matt Kaulig in 2016, will field up to five Ram 1500 trucks in the Craftsman Truck Series during the 2026 season.
“This partnership represents far more than a new chapter in Kaulig Racing’s history, it’s a union of shared values,” said Matt Kaulig in a statement. “Over the past decade, our team has built a legacy rooted in performance, integrity, and giving back to the community. To now join forces as the anchor team for Ram’s return to NASCAR is both an honor and a responsibility. Together, we’re ready to set a new standard on race day and in the impact we make off the track.”
Kaulig Racing currently fields two cars in the NASCAR Cup Series, as well as three NASCAR Xfinity Series entries. Over the last seven seasons, Kaulig Racing has won 29 races between the two series.
Two of those victories have come in the NASCAR Cup Series with veteran driver A.J. Allmendinger. Allmendinger won at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2021 and the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL in 2023.
Ram’s return was officially unveiled in June during an event at Michigan International Speedway. Now, the manufacturer’s first team has been announced, continuing the path towards Ram’s return at Daytona International Speedway on February 13, 2026.
“We needed a partner that truly aligns with the Ram brand and embraces our unconventional approach to NASCAR,” said Tim Kuniskis, Ram CEO. “With Kaulig Racing, we found the perfect synergy to drive our ’Last Tenth’ culture forward.”
“We are proud of what the men and women of Kaulig Racing have accomplished over the past decade,” said Kaulig Racing President, Chris Rice. “Special thanks to Ty Norris for his dedication to Kaulig Racing and helping get us to the next level.”
Kaulig Racing’s driver lineup for the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season will be announced at a later date.
Ram departed the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2012 following a 17-year run dating back to the series' inception in 1995. Under the Dodge banner, Ram trucks won the series championship in both 2004 and 2005 with Bobby Hamliton and Ted Musgrave.
Ram is part of the portfolio of brands offered by leading global automaker Stellantis.
The 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season begins at Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 13, 2026, live on Fox Sports 1, the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90.
