The heart of the ASA Southern Super Series schedule is about to commence over the summer of 2026. From June 12th to August 1st, the series will be in action a total of five times, with four of them counting towards the points total. Up first is the Coca-Cola Twins at Five Flags Speedway (FL) on June 12th and June 13th.
The twin 100-lap races will go a long way to deciding the 2026 ASA Southern Super Series champion.
VDL Fuel Systems Rookie of the Year candidate Tristan McKee leads the points by 11 markers over Spencer Davis. McKee is in his first full season of Super Late Model action and has been impressive right out of the gates.
The aforementioned Davis won twice in the Allen Turner Pro Late Model ranks at Five Flags Speedway in 2025 and is chasing his first Super Late Model series crown. In the past, Davis was the Super Late Model champion at the World Series of Asphalt of Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna in February.
Behind the front two is Mr. Consistent, Matt Craig, who has been second in the points each of the last two years. Craig is third in points and is only 18 markers off the lead. Craig is a former PASS South and CARS Tour SLM champion and could be the first driver to win all three.
There are several other contenders behind the top three that could be in the mix, but only time will tell after the double in Pensacola.
The rest of the summer schedule finds the series at Nashville on July 11th for a 100-lap contest. This is the annual tune-up before the All-American 400 in November.
The end of the month will see a Friday-Saturday doubleheader at Cordele Motor Speedway, which will be part of the makeup of the SpeedFest event from January and the Georgia Summer Nationals. Several teams are expected to race both nights.
