Hard-fought championship battles will finally be decided in one of the biggest events of the season, the Alabama State Championship at Montgomery Motor Speedway on Saturday, October 18th. While the chance for a feature win will still be a priority, many racers will have to approach the weekend with their respective points scenarios in mind to ensure a chance at being crowned a 2025 champion.
For the Show Me The Money Pro Late Models, Alabama racer Jim Wall has a sizeable lead of 28 points over Tennessee’s Aidan Potter. Taylor Corum sits in third place, 40 points behind Potter. Wall has been consistently fast all year, and looks to end 2025 on a high note by scoring his first ever Show Me The Money championship. The Show Me The Money Pro Late Models will conclude their 2025 season with a 100 lap contest.
While the 100 lap Pro Late Model contest will count towards Montgomery Motor Speedway’s Show Me The Money class championship, the Southern Pro Series championship is up for grabs as well. Formerly dubbed the Rogers-Dabbs Challenge, the Southern Pro Series has seen fierce competition across several Deep South short tracks in 2025.
The Modifieds of Mayhem look to conclude their 2025 season at the Alabama State Championship too, with a 50 lap contest set to decide this year’s champion. Kevin Peel leads Ander Jackson by a margin of just 12 points, with third place Ryan Price lurking just two points behind Jackson. An additional highlight for the Modifieds of Mayhem’s weekend will be the CT525 Pole Award.
Two of Montgomery Motor Speedway’s core divisions will compete at the Alabama State Championship as well. While the event won’t serve as the finale for Street Stocks and Crown Stocks, both classes are set to compete as their respective championship battles really start to heat up. Street Stocks will compete for 35 laps, while Crown Stocks are slated to run a 20 lap contest
Adult tickets for the Alabama State Championship will be $20. Kids 6-12 will be $5, and kids 5 and under are always free. Grandstands open at 5:00pm, with qualifying at 5:30pm and racing at 7:00pm.
