Spire Motorsports announced on Tuesday that the team and driver Justin Haley have agreed to part ways following the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Haley joined Spire Motorsports during the team’s inaugural NASCAR Cup Series season in 2019, debuting at Talladega Superspeedway. He also scored the team’s first NASCAR Cup Series victory at Daytona International Speedway later that year.
Haley made 34 starts for the team in 2019 and 2020 while competing full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. After competing in the NASCAR Cup Series with Kaulig Racing and Rick Ware Racing, Haley re-joined Spire as part of a transaction that sent Corey LaJoie to Rick Ware Racing.
"This is a decision that was not taken lightly,” said Spire Motorsports co-owner Jeff Dickerson. “Justin has been a member of the Spire family since he was a teenager. We’ve watched Justin grow from a young driver trying to make his mark in the sport to a proven winner.
“He helped strengthen our organization into what it is today. He made us winners and returned home after forging his own path in the Cup Series. Justin is the embodiment of a true racer who has quietly become a respected competitor within the NASCAR garage and will be an incredible asset to his next team.”
In Haley’s 177 NASCAR Cup Series starts, 74 have come for Spire Motorsports. The Indiana native has totaled one win, six top-fives, and 18 top-10 finishes.
Haley nearly went to victory lane again at Daytona in this year’s Coke Zero Sugar 400, finishing third in a four-wide finish to the race won by Ryan Blaney.
Along with his win at Daytona in 2019, Haley has won four Xfinity Series and three Craftsman Truck Series races in his career. He is one of 41 drivers to score victories in all three of NASCAR’s National Series.
Haley won the 2016 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (now ARCA Menards Series East) championship, with victories at Greenville-Pickens Speedway and Columbus Motor Speedway.
Spire’s plans for the team’s No. 7 NASCAR Cup Series entry in the 2026 season will be announced at a later date.
