Tyrrell Charges to Win in Mini's Mission 125 at Dominion

Instant Classic (Blizzard Series)
Stephen Nasse completed the sweep on Saturday night, winning the Cook Out 100 at Five Flags Speedway.
Nasse kicked off the Coca-Cola Twin Blizzard 100s on Friday night with a dominant victory, leading all 100 laps of the first night in the doubleheader weekend for the ASA Southern Super Series and Deep South Crane Blizzard Series.
He was not quite as dominant on Saturday, but the outcome was the same. Nasse took the lead from Bubba Pollard on lap 41 and kept his lead over Jake Garcia while navigating lapped traffic in the closing laps for the win.
With the win, Nasse racked up $25,000 on the weekend. Each win paid $10,000, and Nasse also earned a $5,000 bonus for sweeping the weekend.
"It definitely makes the weekend sweeter," said Nasse in victory lane. "I just can't say enough about this Anthony Campi Racing. That's why I go with them when it comes to the big races."
When it comes to big races, there aren't any bigger than the race every December at Five Flags, the Snowball Derby. Nasse won last year's Snowball Derby, and hopes this weekend's sweep will help him chase another Tom Dawson Trophy later this year.
"We're getting fine-tuned for the Derby this year, trying to double down. This was a good showing for us, my first weekend in the car. Definitely had a lot of bugs to work out.
"Jake had me nervous there. He had a pretty good car at the end. We were able to stay ahead of him and come home with the win."
Garcia did not have the run he hoped for on Friday, finishing 11th in the Tibbetts Lumber 100 to start the doubleheader. After some adjustments on Saturday, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor was in the mix for the win and finished second.
"I didn't think it was too bad for our second race in this car. I still feel like there's a lot we can improve on. I'm already thinking about what we can do better for next race. I'm really proud of all our guys. We were not very good last night and made some changes today in practice. Really thought about it last night and came back a lot better."
Pollard set fast time in qualifying and started on the pole on both nights of the doubleheader. While he's still searching for his first win at Five Flags since 2024, Pollard was pleased to lead laps and compete at the front of the field during the weekend, finishing third on Saturday night.
"We've just got to keep working on our stuff," said Pollard. "We're definitely better than we have been this year and last year. Just keep working.
"We hadn't had too good of luck to finish some of these races. If we can just keep finishing, we've got speed. We got about halfway through the race, but now we're getting where we can finish some races and start working on race cars."
Matthew Craig finished fourth, with Hunter Robbins rounding out the top five after a runner-up finish on Friday.
Five Flags Speedway will be back in action on June 26, headlined by the Modifieds of Mayhem Tour. Outlaws, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Crown Stocks will also be in action.
The Deep South Cranes Blizzard Series comes to a close on September 26. The Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series will join the Super Late Models for Night of Champions #2.
As for the ASA Southern Super Series, they continue a busy summer stretch on July 11. Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway plays host to the North/South Super Late Model Challenge.
