ASA Southern Super Series
Who Will Start Their Path Towards the Southern Super Series Title?
Jun 8, 2026
A remarkable field of Super Late Model competitors are bound for Five Flags Speedway this weekend, ready to compete on Friday and Saturday, June 12-13 in the Coca-Cola Twin Blizzard 100s.
Currently, 27 drivers are entered for the doubleheader weekend, featuring a pair of 100-lap contests. The Tibbett's Lumber 100 takes the green flag on Friday, June 12, while the Cook Out 100 offers another 100-lap shootout on Saturday, June 13.
The Blizzard Twin 100s mark the second and third races of the Deep South Cranes Blizzard Series, which paves the Road to the Snowball Derby. The races will also be the fifth and sixth rounds for the ASA Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco.
Tristan McKee leads the ASA Southern Super Series points by 11 markers over Spencer Davis entering the weekend. Matthew Craig sits third, 18 points behind McKee. The trio of drivers will all be part of the doubleheader, which could have huge championship implications.
A pair of former Snowball Derby winners are entered for the weekend. Last year, Stephen Nasse captured the elusive Tom Dawson Trophy for the first time in his career. Augie Grill, a two-time winner of the prestigious event, will be seeking his fifth career Southern Super Series win.
Plenty of other recognizable standouts of Five Flags Speedway and the Southern Super Series will also be in action, including 42-time SSS race winner Bubba Pollard, former Snowflake winner Hunter Robbins and 2025 Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series champion Jake Finch.
With the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series enjoying a weekend off, a couple of full-time Truck Series competitors will be back among the Late Model ranks this weekend. Those include 2025 ASA STARS National Tour champion Cole Butcher and former Snowball Derby runner-up finisher Jake Garcia.
The full entry list can be viewed below.
The weekend begins on Friday night, June 12, with the Super Late Models joined by Five Flags Speedway's Crown Stocks and Outlaws. Feature racing begins at 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET on Friday night.
On Saturday, the Cook Out 100 is accompanied by Street Stocks, Pro Trucks and Pure Stocks, with feature racing underway at 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET. In the local divisions, a pair of bounties will be up for grabs.
If a driver can defeat Chad Robinson in the Dock on Pensacola Beach Street Stocks or Ely Loper in the Lloyd's Glass Pure Stocks, they will claim the $250 bounty on top of their race winnings. This bounty is only available provided Robinson and Loper are on track at the finish of their respective races.
