Stacked Field Headed to Five Flags for Blizzard Twin 100s
Jun 10, 2026
Much like a country music star who produces his own music, they are looking for a sound. Bubba Pollard is in the same category. The crafty veteran of the Super Late Model work has unfinished business and is looking for “that sound."
Perhaps the best place to find that sound is Five Flags Speedway, a place he’s called his second home for years. A five-time Blizzard Series champion has 25 career wins at the Pensacola half mile, but the last win came in 2024 and that does not sit well with Pollard.
“We go to the race track to win,” said Bubba Pollard. “That’s the goal every team should have. We have done it so often that when we are not winning it’s hard to accept. Sure, you are going to have days where it’s not your day or something unlucky happens. Racers can live with those days, but you want to be contending up front each week.”
Pollard has reached another focal point in his career, where the race team operations have moved back into his own shop and the lone car the family is racing with is a house chassis that’s been updated for the 2026 season. It showed real progress at the most recent race at Hickory.
“I feel like we are heading in the right direction,” said Pollard. “Hickory was good, despite the finish. We felt we were going to be in the mix for the win and I haven’t had that feeling much this season.”
Pollard will have a perfect chance to showcase the revamped house team come June in the doubleheader weekend at Five Flags Speedway. The doubleheader with the track’s Deep South Crane Blizzard Series will take place on June 12th and 13th. On Friday, it will be the Tibbetts Lumber 100. On Saturday, they will buckle up to race the Cook Out 100. Both nights will feature support division racing.
