NOTE: On Sunday morning, Oxford Plains Speedway and PASS officials also postponed Sunday's PASS Stearns and Daughters 150 due to inclement weather.
Oxford Plains Speedway has announced that Saturday's Oxford Championship Series Mad River Plumbing Opening Day has been canceled due to inclement weather.
Track officials, along with those with the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) have every intention of running Sunday's PASS Stearns and Daughters 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway.
"Today's events have been canceled due to an inclement weather forecast," reads the track's announcement. "Tomorrow's PASS event is still on as scheduled and we will make every effort to run tomorrow even if we have to adjust start times due to morning showers."
The Stearns and Daughters 150 was originally scheduled for last Sunday, April 27, but was postponed due to inclement weather. Mother Nature has been particularly unkind to Oxford Plains Speedway and racing in the Northeastern United States thus far in 2025.
Along with the PASS program on April 27, which also featured the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour, both prior attempts by the Oxford Championship Series to start the season on April 19 and April 26 have been postponed. The April 19 date was postponed as a result of the postponement of the Northeast Classic at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, creating a scheduling conflict for many shared officials and staff members between PASS and Oxford Plains.
The ACT portion of last weekend's PASS special was postponed to October 18 as part of the PASS 400 weekend at Oxford Plains Speedway. The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour schedule featured a previously scheduled event at Thunder Road International Speedbowl on May 4, preventing them from joining the rescheduled event this Sunday.
