Spokane, WA – The “SLS 125” at Findlay Stadium Stateline Speedway (ID) is less than two weeks away and the entries for the $3,000 to win event are pouring in. One of those entries is Tacoma, WA racer Max Schroeder. Schroeder currently sits fourth in the championship standings after top-10 finishes in the first two events of the season. He will now head to a track for which his results have been less than expected, looking for a strong effort at the ¼-mile oval.

After a stellar rookie season in 2021, in which he tied for the Rookie-of-the-Year honors and second in the championship, Schroeder was looking for a Northwest Super Late Model Series championship in 2022. The 2020 “Wofford 100” winner at South Sound Speedway (WA) was in the hunt until a Pro Late Model crash at the Wenatchee Valley Super-Oval (WA) ended his season prematurely with a concussion, after five of seven scheduled events.

Schoeder spent the off-season rehabbing his body as well as his racecars, determined to make the 2023 season his year. He opened the season with a sixth, at the “Apple Cup 125” at Tri-City Raceway at RMEC (WA), and a ninth, in the “Leonard Evans Memorial 150” at the Wenatchee Valley Super-Oval. Round #3 will see the series return to Stateline Speedway for the first time in 2023. The ¼-mile oval has been a favorite of Schroeder’s, but the results have not shown the teams potential at the facility, with 7th and 17th-place finishes. Schroeder hopes to turn that around on the 20th of May.

“Stateline hasn't been the best to us in recent years”, Schroeder explained. “We've always been fast there, and I love the track. I think the main thing for us is just maintaining the car throughout the race and making it to the finish. Our goal for this race, and really this whole year, is to finish consistently and cleanly and push towards breaking into that top three. And have fun doing it!

Schroeder will make his 18th career start in the NWSLMS, looking for his second victory, eighth top-five, and 12th top-10 finish. The popular racer will seek to turn his luck around at the Post Falls ID facility, with the help of his friends, family, and sponsors.

“I'd love to thank my mom and dad and my amazing family” Schroeder expressed. “I’d also like to thank my sponsors Zachary Jankelson and Exp Reality, STUDIO 17, Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course, Central Welding Supply and Just KB Media!”

The “SLS 125” will be Round #3 of the Northwest Super Late Model Series season. It will pay $3,000 to the winner of the 125-lap affair. Friday May 19th will open the weekend with feature events for the Impel Road Runners, Park Model Homes Fever 4, Angel’s Bail Bonds Bandoleros, and the RaceCals Pro Late Models. Saturday will find the Rayce Rudeen Legends, Angel's Bail Bonds Bandoleros, and Johnson Surveying Hobby Stocks in action with the Northwest Super Late Model Series for a full two days of racing action..
