Spokane, WA – Former Findlay Stadium Stateline Speedway Track Champion Dave Garber will make the short hop from Spokane, WA to Post Falls, ID on May 20th for the “SLS 125” at the popular ¼-mile oval. Garber currently sits sixth in the Northwest Super Late Model Series championship standings, after knocking on the door of the top-10 in both of the first two events of the NWSLMS season.

Garber finished 11th at the “Apple Cup 125” at Tri-City Raceway at RMEC (WA) and 12th at the “Leonard Evans 150” at the Wenatchee Valley Super-Oval (WA). During both events he ran up front until fading. He will be looking to keep his Gription Tire Pros, Pend Oreille Motorsports, Concrete Cutters, Reader Concrete, Camaro up front at Stateline, looking for his first series victory and his sixth top-five, at a track that has produced strong results for the veteran racer.

“It's close to home and I started racing there in 1986”, Garber explained about his affection for the facility. “It is pretty much my home track and I have had lots of success and many championships there.”

Garber has been successful not only at Stateline, but also in Super Late Model touring series competition. He won three consecutive championships in the Inland Northwest Super Stock Association. He has seven feature wins in touring series competition at Stateline Speedway, with multiple track championships in both the Street Stocks and Super Late Models. In 2019, Dave scored a Late Model championship at Hermiston Raceway (OR) and captured a big win in the “Spring Sizzler”, at the Wenatchee Valley Super-Oval. In 2020 he ended his season with a win at Magic Valley Speedway (ID), in the “Spud 100”. In 2021 he finished in the runner-up position in the Montana 200 at Mission Valley Speedway (MT).

Garber will now look to add to his record of success at the ¼-mile asphalt oval, with plans to enter both the RaceCals Pro Late Model event on Friday and the NWSLMS event on Saturday. Two wins in one weekend is not out of the question for the younger of the Garber brothers. There is no doubt they would be popular wins for the long-time racer.
