Kyle Busch has added his name to the list of competitors for the 58th Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway.

The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and two-time Snowball Derby winner announced on Wednesday he will be taking part in the prestigious Super Late Model event held each December at the half-mile Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida

Busch last competed in the Snowball Derby in 2020, finishing seventh that year in a race won by Ty Majeski. He has made five starts in the event, including victories in 2009 as well as the 50th Snowball Derby in 2017.

A victory this year would make Busch just the second three-time Snowball Derby winner. Rich Bickle, Jr. leads the all-time wins list in the event, claiming the Tom Dawson Trophy five times. Busch is one of 11 two-time Derby winners.

Busch led 91 of the race's 300 laps in his 2009 victory, taking the lead from Eddie Mercer for the final time with 25 laps to go in the race. In 2017, Busch reeled in Jeff Choquette and Bubba Pollard and took the lead with 17 laps to go for the victory.

Busch joins an entry list already featuring more than 50 cars for the event, including fellow NASCAR Cup Series competitors Erik Jones, Ryan Preece and Noah Gragson. Jones is a fellow two-time Snowball Derby winner, with victories in 2012 and 2013 to begin his ascension up the racing ladder. Gragson won the event in 2018 while driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports.

Other former Snowball Derby winners on the entry list include 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ty Majeski, defending Snowball Derby winner Kaden Honeycutt, and 2022 race winner Derek Thorn.

The 58th Annual Snowball Derby takes place on December 4-7 at Five Flags Speedway.
