Jake Sheridan returned to his winning ways on the APC United Late Model Series on Saturday, taking the checkered flag with a dominant showing in the Stewart's and Kubota 175 at Sauble Speedway.

Sheridan picked up his fourth win of the 2026 APC United Late Model Series season, and the second leg of the NTN Triple Crown Series. After setting fast time in qualifying, Sheridan started sixth following the redraw. That did not deter Sheridan, working his way to the lead by lap 74.

Sheridan briefly lost the lead to Connor Pritiko on a lap 122 restart, but moved back out front shortly thereafter and pulled away to victory.

"The reality was just a really, really great car, man," said Sheridan in victory lane. "Me and my guys did a really amazing job. I was really struggling in practice. We were close to some minor changes, and I feel like we did a good job pacing ourselves. I think we made it clear we could go when we had to. Everybody raced us pretty good there for the win, so super thankful."

Pritiko finished second, giving him back-to-back runner-up finishes with the APC United Late Model Series. He also finished third in the first leg of the NTN Triple Crown at Peterborough Speedway. The close calls have Pritiko hungry for his first win of the season.

"It sucks, because I think we've finished second four or five times this year," said Pritiko. "That win's close, you know? I got a good restart there beside Jake and got the lead, but I just couldn't fire off in teh short run at all, no matter what I did. I tried to keep as much heat into the tires as I could. Second place is nothing to hang our heads on. It's just, what I'd do to pick up a win."

After nine wins and two championships in the past three APC United Late Model seasons, Kyle Steckly is also still searching for his first win with the tour in 2026. He settled for a third-place finish on Saturday at Sauble, matching his best result of the season.

"Just a tough race," Steckly said. "Everyone was rushing to get through it. I twas a quick pace. WE got through it. This APC Auto Parts Centre No. 22 was good on the short runs, but those long runs, we just kept getting tighter and tighter and couldn't really do much. Need to find a bit more speed in this car and see if we can be a bit better when we come back in a couple of weeks."

Dale Shaw, who led the first 73 laps of the race, finished fourth. Shawn Chenoweth rounded out the top five.

The APC United Late Model Series returns to Sauble Speedway later this month for the seventh and penultimate race of the season. The Stewart's and Kubota 100 is scheduled for August 22.
