Jacob Maynard scored the biggest win of his career and joined the prestigious list of Summer Sizzler 100 winners on Saturday at New Paris Speedway.

Maynard drove from eighth to first in the event, leading the final 14 laps of the 25th Annual Summer Sizzler and holding off eight-time race winner Tyler Roahrig in the process.

With only four cautions in this year's Summer Sizzler, many drivers who spent the first half of the race managing their tires suddenly found themselves playing catch-up in the closing laps. Meanwhile, 2019 Summer Sizzler winner Donny Klotz III was dominant, taking the lead on lap 33.

However, Klotz fell off the pace on lap 87, turning over the top spot to Maynard. From there, Maynard had to keep his focus as Roahrig and Phil Bozell chased him down.

"I seen the 24 on the board, and I was praying and hoping there was room and it wouldn't be enough time for him to catch me," said Maynard in victory lane. "We did it.

"This is actually an old J.R. Roahrig car. Tyler and them put it all together. He's one of the best there ever was or ever is, Phil Bozell, same thing. This just feels good. We've got a little bit of work to do to keep going, keep pushing forward, but we did it. We're going to enjoy today."

Roahrig, coming off a 500 Sprint Car Tour victory at Berlin Raceway one night ago, settled for second in his pursuit of a ninth Summer Sizzler triumph.

"Early in the race, I was following Mark Shook there and Phil. I was just trying to manage. We didn't have a lot of yellows. At the end of the day, we just weren't good enough. I was disappointed with the way my car drove.

"There was one specific lapped car that really wanted to run the middle of the track. I don't know what was up with that, but either way, if I was better, it shouldn't have made a difference. It's nice to be back here at New Paris, and we'll try again for nine next year."

Bozell rounded out the podium, also caught by surprise by the lack of cautions in the contest.

"Usually, we get a lot of cautions here and you can take your time. We didn't have no cautions, it was actually a great race. We had to start picking them off, trying to keep it clean and stay in line. I saw Tyler go and I tried to go early. Those guys were way out there. Once we got around them, we had to go. Tyler got by me, and I was just chasing him down."

Zack Cook finished fourth, with Corey Ryman rounding out the top five.

The Reveal the Hammer Outlaw Late Model Series wraps up its 2026 season on Saturday, September 12 at Berlin Raceway.
