Kaden Honeycutt Adds Road to the Snowflake Win to 2026 Collection

A mid-race shake-up wasn't stopping Kaden Honeycutt in Friday's Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series feature at Five Flags Speedway.

Honeycutt dominated the first 50 green flag laps of the 100-lap feature on Friday at the Pensacola, Florida half-mile before a mandatory caution. However, the frontrunners were shuffled during a chaotic restart.

Honeycutt lost the lead to Zack Dixon, who then turned over the top spot to Jim Wall. Jake Finch, running second before the caution, dropped all the way back to ninth.

Honeycutt reclaimed the lead on lap 57, stretching out his advantage to secure the victory in the penultimate race on the Road to the Snowflake 125.

"Yeah, that was awesome," said Honeycutt in victory lane. "Honestly, I don't know what happened on that restart. I just knew I got really tight there on the exit of two. Dixon was able to get to my inside. We had a little rub going into three, but no harm, no foul.

"It's been a really good year for us. We were close to the 'Flake here last year, and we're just trying to improve the couple of spots that we were off on last year."

The win continues a wildly successful season for Honeycutt. While he competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he'll battle for a series championship, he has also won more than a dozen races across various short track platforms this year.

"The big picture is to go win a Truck title at the end of the year in Homestead," Honeycutt said. "When I come and do this on off weeks, and even if it's not an off week, I just appreciate the owners I get to race for so much."

A frustrated Jake Finch fought his way back up to second place after nearly falling out of the top 10 on the lap 50 restart, but was unable to chase down Honeycutt.

"I got punted," said Finch. "I had to chase it up into the marbles. I just had to fight and claw my way back up through the field. By then, you know, Kaden's really good and just was way out front. We didn't really have clean enough track to get back to him. We had a really good car. I wish we would have been able to race with the 54 there at the end."

Wall finished third, a proud moment for last year's Show Me the Money Series champion.

"It's our first time on the frontstretch down here, so that's pretty cool. We definitely would have liked to have kept the lead there, but those two guys in front of were really fast. We had a great car tonight; it just probably wasn't enough for them."

Wall has not raced as much this year as he did one year ago, but his speed was certainly on display Friday night at Five Flags.

"We haven't been racing as much this year as we did last year. We're only running 10 or 15 races this year. I think we're a little bit behind on data. If we were racing more and testing more, I think that we would have some speed for the top two there. That's a huge, huge finish for our little team. We're going to keep going and keep making the car better and try to be up there."

Ryan Luza finished fourth, with Dustin Smith rounding out the top five.

The Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series champion will be crowned on September 26 on Five Flags' Night of Champions, which will also feature the Blizzard Series finale for Super Late Models.
