The APC United Late Model Series presented by Castrol enters its 12th season of racing in 2026. The series has established itself as the home of standout short track racing in Ontario during that time, and the upcoming season will add to that excitement.
This year, the APC United Late Model Series introduced its Elite Program. The Elite Program has been developed to reward drivers and teams competing on a full-time basis with the tour, offering incentives and benefits for teams that commit to the eight-race season.
The season begins this Saturday, May 9 at Delaware Speedway with the Dayco 100. Before the action begins, here is a look at the nine drivers who have joined the APC United Late Model Series Elite Program for the 2026 season.
Kendra Adams made her APC United Late Model Series debut in 2024 and competed full-time with the series in 2025. She battled with Cory McAllister for the series' Rookie of the Year honors, and will be building on that experience in the 2026 season as she prepares for another full-time campaign.
A mainstay of the APC United Late Model Series, Junior Farrelly has made 62 career starts with the series and finished eighth in points in 2025. He broke through for his first career win during the season-opening event at Sunset Speedway in 2024.
Shae Gemmell boasts 88 career APC United Late Model Series starts, and wins in each of the past four seasons. He finished third in points in 2025, just 16 points behind champion Josh Stade. Last year, Gemmell capped off his season with a victory in the Castrol Great Canadian 300 at Delaware Speedway,
A familiar face in APC since 2019, Ray Morneau enters his third full-time season in 2026. Morneau was remarkably consistent during that 2024 season, never finishing outside the top 10 and taking home sixth-place honors in the championship fight. He hopes to score his first APC Series victory during the 2026 season.
Connor Pritiko will certainly be one to watch as the season opens at Delaware Speedway this weekend. The Kilworth, Ontario native won the track's Pro Late Model championship in 2023 before joining the APC United Late Model Series full-time in 2024. He's earned a win in each of the past two years on the tour, both at his home track of Delaware.
Jake Sheridan missed out on the APC United Series title in 2025 by a scant six-point margin, finishing second in the championship standings. He has four career APC victories, with two of them coming last year at Peterborough Speedway and Sunset Speedway. He hopes to make the jump from contender to champion in 2026.
The APC Series' ironman became its newest champion in 2025. Josh Stade boasts 95 consecutive starts with the series, including three wins, 25 top-five finishes and 52 top-10s. After a thrilling championship battle, Stade lifted the APC United Late Model Series title in 2025, and will be back for another go in 2026.
Kyle Steckly is a two-time APC United Late Model Series champion, winning the title in 2023 and 2024. He picked up three wins during the 2025 season, tying him with J.R. Fitzpatrick for second on the all-time wins list. The 2024 Redbud 400 winner will be pursuing another APC championship this year while also hunting for the ASA STARS National Tour championship.
The APC United Late Model Series' winningest driver returns to the title chase in 2026. Brandon Watson is a two-time series champion, and his 19 wins are the most in series history. However, he has not competed full-time with the series since his 2021 championship campaign. That changes in 2026, as Watson has registered for the APC Series Elite Program.
