Show Me the Money Series
John Bolen Scores Second Show Me the Money Win of 2025
May 18, 2025
Haeden Plybon dominated Saturday's Knottical Marine 150 at Mode Stadium Stateline Speedway, earning his eighth career Northwest Super Late Model Series victory.
Plybon made just two starts with the series in 2024, but proved he is still a threat to win any time he competes on the Northwestern tour on Saturday. He took the lead on lap five and led the rest of the distance in a convincing victory.
"The car was on cruise control," said Plybon. "It felt like a great time. I'm glad to get to win again, glad everybody was here to see it. Glad to be back."
While he doesn't have set plans for the rest of the Northwest Super Late Model Series, he hopes to continue racing and winning with the series in 2025 as his schedule allows.
"I'm not too sure. We're going to race a couple of races, and see where it goes from there."
While Plybon, the 2023 series champion, took the win, 2024 series champion Kasey Kleyn finished second. Kleyn was not in his usual entry, instead driving his father's car. It proved to have plenty of long-run pace, if not enough to challenge Plybon for the victory.
"I was just getting in the car, just having fun," said Kleyn. "See what it was, shaking it down for my dad to tell him if it had some speed in it. Then we ended up right towards the front real quick. I mean, I feel like in 11 laps we gained almost 15 spots. Then we got to the front and we were just saving, trying to keep up with them.
"At the end, we had just enough left to make a pass on Dave [Garber]. I pushed him up a little bit, I apologize for that, we were just so tight. It was fun racing with him. We were coming at the end. It just sucks we couldn't go three years in a row in this race."
Garber finished third for his first NWSLMS podium finish of 2025. He was pleased with the strength of his No. 93, which he hopes to carry forward the rest of the season.
"I'm pretty happy with the car. I'd like to thank Larry Fitzpatrick or I wouldn't be here. Good, hard race."
The next event for the Northwest Super Late Model Series presented by Knottical Marine is on July 18-19 at Evergreen Speedway for the Summer Showdown 200.
