Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli Ready for Another Memorable Weekend at Circuit of The Americas

On a schedule packed with some of the most historic racing venues in North America, Circuit of The Americas stands out on the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli calendar as one of the newest. However, the Austin, Texas circuit has already established itself as a familiar venue for Trans Am competitors.

Circuit of The Americas opened in 2012, hosting the first United States Grand Prix since 2007. Trans Am first visited COTA in 2015, and has been a late-season staple of the schedule each year. Since 2021, COTA has hosted the final round of the season for the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli and CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series.

COTA has hosted 21 Trans Am Series races since the first visit in 2015. The venue hosts this year's Trans Am Series finale on November 5-8, 2026.

Amy Ruman won the inaugural Trans Am event at Circuit of The Americas on November 6, 2015. The victory was part of an eight-win championship campaign for Ruman that year. Adam Andretti secured the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series win in that race, with Ernie Francis, Jr. (TA3 American Muscle) and Fernando Seferlis (TA3 International) also earning class wins.

COTA has produced several first-time Trans Am race winners over the years. Last year, Helio Meza won in his first TA2 Series start at COTA. This year, he heads into Texas locked in a tight championship battle with TeamSLR teammate Alon Day.

That championship battle will go down to the wire, not unlike the 2022 CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series title. That year, Thomas Merrill won at COTA to claim the championship on a tiebreaker over Rafa Matos.

In 2023, Thomas Annunziata earned his first CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series win at Circuit of The Americas. He now has four career TA2 victories, and won this year's ARCA Menards Series championship.

Four years after claiming the TA2 win at COTA in 2015, Adam Andretti earned his maiden TA class victory at the facility in 2019. Two-time CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series champion Gar Robinson won in his first TA class start, coming at COTA in 2023.

Matthew Brabham won in his Trans Am Series debut in 2021 with a last-lap pass of Ernie Francis, Jr. for the victory. Brabham and Chris Dyson have combined to win four of the last five TA races at COTA, an impressive streak for CD Racing only interrupted by Robinson's 2023 triumph.

Brabham comes to COTA pursuing his first Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli championship. He leads Paul Menard by 47 points entering the season finale, with nine wins under his belt this season.
