Meza Continues Hot-Streak, Paces CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Practice at Road Atlanta
Mar 13, 2026
Helio Meza continues a perfect start to the 2026 CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series season by taking the pole position for Saturday's TA2 event at Road Atlanta. Jared Odrick (12th) was the top Pro/Am competitor.
Helio Meza, who is looking to go three-for-three to start his CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series career in Saturday's event at Road Atlanta, will do so from the pole position after he secured the pole position for the race by more than a half-second over the competition.

Heading into the weekend, Meza explained to Racing America that he had been logging a lot of laps in the Chevrolet simulator and referring to footage of past TA2 races at Road Atlanta to prepare for this start. Well, it looks like the simulator time and studying paid off.
Meza turned a lap time of 1 minute, 22.206 seconds in his No. 28 Alessandros Racing Team SLR Chevrolet Camaro, which came on his fourth of seven laps in the session, to take the top qualifying time by a margin of 0.504 seconds.
For his efforts in securing the pole, Meza, who is running the full schedule in 2026, will receive five qualifying points to go along with his totals scored in Saturday's race.
While Meza started from the top qualifying spot in each of his first two career starts -- Circuit of the Americas last season and the season-opener at Sebring International Raceway -- this will mark his first official pole position in TA2 competition.
Meza was also the fastest driver in Friday's TA2 practice session.
Lining up with Meza at the front of the field will be Andres Perez de Lara (4 qualifying points), a full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor. With the NASCAR Truck Series off this weekend, Perez de Lara was able to secure a ride for Team SLR in the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro.
Adrian Wlostowski (3 qualifying points), Noah Harmon (2), and Rafa Matos (1) secured the remainder of the top-five starting spots in Friday's qualifying session around the 2.540-mile road course in Braselton, GA.

Jared Odrick, the defending TA2 Pro/Am Challenge champion, nabbed the top starting spot among the 12 Pro/Am entries in the field, and he'll start Saturday's race from the 12th overall position in the 31-car field behind the wheel of the No. 00 Black Underwear / Helium Mobile TRB Autosport Chevrolet Camaro.
Roberto Sabato, who was right on Odrick's heels in practice earlier in the day, was only able to secure the 19th-place starting spot in qualifying, but that was narrowly enough to rank Sabato second in the Pro/Am class.
Keith Prociluk (20th), Cale Phillips (21st), and Patrick Paul (22nd) made up the remainder of the top-five fastest Pro/Am competitors in the session.
Alon Day will start last in the field on Saturday as he was the lone driver unable to take a qualifying lap. Unfortunately, after Day clocked in second-fastest in practice, the driver of the No. 17 JSSI Team SLR Chevrolet Camaro went off course in Turn 5 and crashed. Due to the team needing to make repairs to the car, Day was unable to compete in the qualifying session.
The 40-lap or 75-minute TA2 Series race will take place on Saturday, March 14. The CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series event at Road Atlanta will be broadcast for FREE on RacingAmerica.TV, Racing America 24/7, and the official Trans Am Series YouTube Channel. The Racing America 24/7 Streaming Channel is available on The Roku Channel, Prime Video, My Free DirecTV, LG Channels, and PLEX. REVTV will serve as the official broadcast partner of Trans Am in Canada.
