Salem, IN (December 17, 2025) – Salem Speedway officials have released the 2026 oval track racing schedule to date going into the track’s first year of new ownership under Brent Harmon and Melissa Middleton. The track features the historic 555-mile oval that features imposing 33-degree banked turns that first opened in 1947 and a ¼ mile short track inside the half mile oval.
The 2026 schedule is a mix of traditional events and some new ones at the legendary High Banks, in all there will be 12 oval track racing events in 2026, highlighted by the first ever Crown Vic Wars events that will open and close the season, the traditional Firecracker 200 Weekend that will feature the first ever School Bus High Banks Challenge, the Joe James/Pat O’Connor Memorial for the 500 Sprint Car Tour, the first visit for the I.H.R.A. Late Model Sportsman and Pro Late Model Series, the ARCA Menards Series returns to race in their 112th ever event at Salem Speedway and the traditional Halloween 200 Weekend!
There is also a Monster Truck Bash event, a Truck & Tractor Pull event, and three Down Bad Drift events scheduled. There will be several additional non-racing events added to the schedule, and there could be some additional classes added to some events.
