Video: Tempers Flare Between Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in Garage After All-Star Race
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had 198 laps to stew about being wrecked, and at the end of the NASCAR All-Star Race, he got his revenge in the form of a right hand to Kyle Busch's head.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was wadded up into the outside wall by Kyle Busch on Lap 2. So, he was already mad. To make matters worse, North Wilkesboro Speedway doesn't have an exit tunnel, so the only way to leave is for the race to end.
As a result, Stenhouse sat and stewed about the Lap 2 crash for 198 laps around the 0.625-mile historic short track.
As Joey Logano was performing his victory burnouts, Kyle Busch exited his No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and began walking back to the garage area with NASCAR Security and the NASCAR Media Corps flanking him.
As Busch reached his No. 8 Richard Childress Racing team hauler, he found a seething Stenhouse, who was ready to see what Busch was thinking in the incident, which ended his night early.
After a few minutes of a heated discussion, Stenhouse was tired of hearing it, and decided to deliver a right hand. It connected with Busch's face. Then, NASCAR security jumped in. Here is a video of the fight:
Here is an additional angle of the fight from FOX Sports' Bob Pockrass:
After the punch was delivered, NASCAR Security tackled both Busch and Stenhouse to the ground, and the two drivers stumbled on piles of tires as this happened.
Stenhouse's father Ricky Stenhouse Sr. climbs into the fray and locks up with Busch, and those two were eventually separated. It's at this point that team members for Busch's No. 8 team and Stenhouse's No. 47 team started getting into it.
Stenhouse's team members began climbing onto the lift gate of Busch's hauler, and Busch's team members would push Stenhouse's teammembers off of the truck.
