Apr 26, 2025
Austin Cindric won the Jack Link's 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, narrowly beating Ryan Preece to the line of the NASCAR Cup Series event.
Cindric crossed the line 0.022 seconds ahead of Preece in a side-by-side fight to the finish. The win is Cindric's first of the year in the NASCAR Cup Series, and the third of his career.
Following the race, Ryan Preece (too many spoiler shims) and Joey Logano (missing spoiler bolt) were disqualified. Preece had crossed the line second, while Logano was fifth prior to the disqualification.
Following technical inspection, Kyle Larson finished second, followed by William Byron, Noah Gragson and Chase Elliott.
