North Wilkesboro Speedway officials announced Thursday that 50 laps have been added to the scheduled distance for the track's NASCAR Cup Series event on July 19, 2026.
“North Wilkesboro Speedway is all about the fans, and adding more laps per dollar to the Window World 450 is sure to create a better experience for everyone who enters the gates,” said Graig Hoffman, North Wilkesboro Speedway Executive Director.
“Sunday-night races are made to be a spectacle. The Window World 450 will be an electric night at America’s throwback race track, and the stakes will be higher than ever before with the winner punching a ticket to the NASCAR Playoffs.”
North Wilkesboro Speedway hosted the NASCAR All-Star Race in 2023, 2024 and 2025. With the All-Star Race moving to Dover Motor Speedway in 2026, North Wilkesboro is hosting its first NASCAR Cup Series points event since 1996, before the track first closed.
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and zMAX CARS Tour will also race at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Window World 450 weekend. The CARS Tour takes the track on Friday, July 17, with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series racing for 250 laps on Saturday, July 18.
