Brenden Queen, the defending champion of the Late Model Stock Car division of the zMAX CARS Tour, will make his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut next weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Queen will get behind the wheel of the No. 11 Chevrolet, fielded by Kaulig Racing, for the Food City 300, scheduled for Friday, September 12. Sponsorship for the one-off effort was not confirmed.

"It's been a dream of mine to get a chance to drive in the Xfinity Series," said Queen. "I can't thank everyone at Kaulig Racing enough for making that dream a reality. I'm fortunate to have this opportunity, and I can't wait to get to Bristol and give the team all I've got and have a solid day."

The 27-year-old driver is currently chasing a championship in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 28 Chevrolet SS for Pinnacle Racing Group (PRG). Queen leads the point standings with four events left on the schedule, having captured a season-high six victories.

“We’re super excited to be a part of Brenden’s next steps in his racing career,” said Chris Rice, president of Kaulig Racing. “He has made a splash in the ARCA Menards Series and is an all-around great short track racer, so we’re looking forward to seeing what he can do in the Xfinity Series under the lights at Bristol."

Queen, a native of Chesapeake, Virginia, is no stranger to competing for victories on short tracks, having collected three straight track championships at Langley Speedway in 2020, 2021, and 2022 in the Late Model Stock division.

Queen is the latest driver to take a turn behind the wheel of Kaulig Racing's No. 11 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, after the team parted ways with Josh Williams mid-season.

Carson Hocevar (Iowa), Michael McDowell (Watkins Glen), Justin Haley (Daytona), Will Brown (Portland), and Daniel Hemric (WWT Raceway) have all joined Kaulig Racing's NASCAR Xfinity Series program in the tail-end of the season.

The Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway kicks off Friday, September 12, at 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on The CW, Performance Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
