Matt DiBenedetto and the No. 99 Viking Motorsports team have announced a new partnership ahead of Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series Explore the Pocono Mountains 250 at Pocono Raceway. On Monday, Viking Motorsports announced that the driver and his No. 99 team will carry primary sponsorship from the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau in the event.

The partnership means that DiBendetto will carry primary sponsorship from the entitlement sponsor of Saturday's race. It's a big deal for the visitor's bureau, and the Viking Motorsports team is likewise proud of the sponsorship for this weekend's race.

“We’re really excited to team up with the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau for their home race,” said Jeremy Lange, General Manager of Viking Motorsports. “It’s a great fit—the PMVB is all about highlighting what makes the region special, and putting the No. 99 Pocono Mountains Chevrolet out there on a national stage is a fun way to do that. We’re proud to help share the Pocono Mountains with race fans across the country.”

In addition to the primary sponsorship of the No. 99 Chevrolet, the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau will capture exclusive behind-the-scenes content for its Pocono Television Network and social media platforms, which will be aimed at giving race fans a look at the Viking Motorsports team's race day preparation. The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau will also have fan-facing activations at the Pocono Mountains Visitors Center, where DiBenedetto will be on hand to sign autographs for fans on Friday, June 20, at 3:00 PM ET.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to align with Viking Motorsports and Matt DiBenedetto,” said Chris Barrett, President/CEO of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau. “Matt’s connection with fans is second to none, and the opportunity to bring our brand to life on the No. 99 car—during a race we’re also sponsoring—is something truly special for our region and visitors.”

DiBenedetto, who made the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs with the legendary Wood Brothers Racing team in 2020, and won the 2022 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event at Talladega Superspeedway, driving for Rackley WAR Racing, is excited at his prospects this weekend as he has always enjoyed racing at the 2.5-mile triangular Pocono Raceway track.

“Huge thanks to the PMVB for coming on board with Viking Motorsports and helping us show off everything that makes this place awesome,” said DiBenedetto. “I’ve always loved racing at Pocono—it’s such a wild track, and the fans are some of the best out there. Can’t wait to strap into the No. 99 Pocono Mountains Chevy and put on a show.”

DiBenedetto, in the first full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series campaign for the Viking Motorsports team, sits 24th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship standings after 15 races into the 33-race season. DiBenedetto recorded a season-best fifth-place result at Talladega Superspeedway in April, and he is coming off of a respectable 16th-place finish this past weekend at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City.

DiBenedetto has recorded top-10 finishes at Pocono Raceway in the NASCAR Cup Series (2020) and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (2023) ranks. He'll look to add his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series top-10 finish at the legendary track in Saturday's Explore the Pocono Mountains 250.

This weekend's NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Pocono Raceway will be televised by The CW on Saturday, June 21. Television coverage of the event will kick off at 3:30 PM ET.
