Coca-Cola, a long-time supporter of several NASCAR Cup Series drivers and teams, will have its first-ever primary sponsorship with NASCAR's Most Popular Driver, Chase Elliott, for Sunday's Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway.

The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion will be carrying the signature red and white colors of Coca-Cola on his No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in the series' second annual trip to the three-quarter-mile short track in Richmond, Virginia.

A native of Dawsonville, Georgia, Elliott officially joined the Coca-Cola Racing Family at the start of last season, when the company forged a relationship with the 28-year-old and Hendrick Motorsports to become the Official Beverage Partner of the driver and the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 team.

Elliott's father, Bill, the 1988 champion of the NASCAR Cup Series is among the long list of drivers who Coca-Cola has supported since the company joined NASCAR more than a quarter-century ago.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver is part of the Coca-Cola Racing Family, a five-driver program that includes Austin Dillon, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, and Daniel Suarez.

With the announcement of Coca-Cola taking over sponsorship for the event at Richmond, Elliott's sponsorship schedule on the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro is now at capacity.

Earlier this season, Hendrick Motorsports confirmed that long-time partner Hooters would no longer sponsor the No. 9 Chevrolet, after Hooters failed to meet its business obligations with the organization in the months leading up to the July split.

Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series event at Richmond was the final scheduled event for Hooters to serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro in 2024.
