Chase Elliott will head to Bristol Motor Speedway for the Bass Pro Shops Night Race with a bold new look on his No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.

The car, which will carry primary sponsorship from NAPA Gold Filters, will sport a black base coat, with gold accents throughout the scheme. The iconic No. 9 font on the side of the car will pop in gold chrome.

It's a truly stunning car.

The paint scheme was officially unveiled on the NAPA Racing social media channels at 11:00 AM ET on Tuesday, September 12th with a video of the Hendrick Motorsports team applying the wrap for the design.

Elliott, 27, is still looking for his first victory of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, but he has been zeroing in on victory lane in recent weeks.

The driver from Dawsonville, Georgia finished runner-up at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course last month, and he was closing in on race-winner Michael McDowell in the final circuits in that event.

After an issue with fuel mileage calculations at Watkins Glen, which forced the No. 9 team to a 32nd-place finish, Elliott has come on strong in the three races since.

He narrowly missed a win, which would have moved him into the NASCAR Cup Series driver championship Playoffs at Daytona International Speedway, as he finished fourth with drafting help from teammate Alex Bowman in the closing laps of the Coke Zero Sugar 400.

Elliott followed up the solid run at Daytona with efforts of eighth at Darlington and sixth at Kansas. A win seems to be right around the corner for the sport's Most Popular Driver.

While Elliott is out of the running for the NASCAR Cup Series driver's championship, his No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports team is very much in the thick of the battle for the NASCAR Cup Series Owner's Championship.

Thanks to the excellent start to the Playoffs for Elliott and the team, the No. 9 car ranks eighth in the Owner Championship Standings heading into Bristol Motor Speedway -- the final race of the NASCAR Cup Series Round of 16 in the Playoffs.

Elliott hopes to score his first victory of the season at Bristol on Saturday night, but he'll also have to keep in mind the 12-point advantage he has over the Owner's Championship cutline.

The fierce racer finished runner-up in the Night Race at Bristol a season ago, and overall Elliott has four top-five finishes and six top-10s in 12 career starts at The World's Fastest Half Mile. Elliott, you would figure, would be in the mix for the win on Saturday night.
