Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park bookends the 2023 season with the world famous 61st Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing. Three days of racing will seal up the season for both the Thompson track championship divisions and multiple touring series during the annual showcase of Northeast stock car racing. The highlight of the three-day festival will include three-peat challenges for both open-wheeled Modifieds and the fan-favorite Street Stock divisions looking to pocket big money on Sunoco World Series weekend!

The Tour-type Modifieds have the most lucrative weekend of the bunch with three separate events on Sunoco World Series weekend. Starting with the Milton CAT Modified Racing Series 50-lap championship event on Friday, October 6, Saturday brings the return of the $10,000-to-win Sunoco 100 for the Thompson Outlaw Open Modifieds. Ellington, Connecticut’s Ronnie Williams tops the entry list as he’s ready to hunt down his second $10,000 top prize on the Thompson highbanks this season.

Williams was a fireball early in the year, taking the Icebreaker 125 in April and the first Dash for Cash in June while also pocketing the $10,000 Tri-Track Series event at Thunder Road in May! As Williams looks to end a successful season with a Tour-type Modified three-peat, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour standouts Austin Beers, Kyle Bonsignore and Craig Lutz are also among those looking to double-down on World Series weekend. Other notable Northeast stand-outs include Kirk Alexander, Chris Pasteryak, Teddy Hodgdon and young-guns Brett Meservey and Matt Kimball on the Saturday entry list who are all looking to at least pull double duty, if not triple duty, on World Series weekend.

Sunday’s World Series 150 presented by FloSports.com for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour rounds out the 61st Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing at Thompson as Justin Bonsignore and Ron Silk continue their neck-and-neck title fight atop the heap. Fans are looking for a repeat of Bonsignore and Silk’s epic side-by-side action showcased in August’s event with desperate setting in before the final event on the calendar comes at Virginia’s Martinsville Speedway in three weeks.

The Street Stocks are also looking at a big-money end to their 2023 seasons at World Series weekend starting with the R&R Race Parts NH Street Stock Series on Friday. The $1,000-to-win, $200-to-start R&R Street Stock 50 will feature top Open Competition stars such as Kris Watson, Christopher Buffone, Duane Knoll and Jason Woodard among a slew of others. Saturday, October 7 brings a second Street Stock Open, with many of Friday’s teams expected to return for another shot at an added $1,200 top prize. The Thompson Limited Sportsman teamsters are possibly the most ready for the cash-grab with their championship event also on Saturday in a busy World Series schedule. ‘Leadfoot’ Larry Barnett, Joshua Gerard and Tim Poulin are among the locals looking to pocket a big-money Triple Crown this weekend and ride out the 2023 season in style!

The Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park oval is back in action for the final showdown of the 2023 season with the 61st Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing. The thrilling three-day weekend will feature 16 divisions of racing vying to go down in history as a World Series champion! Three-Day general admission is set at $75 for adults, $30 for children 12-6 and free for kids 5 and under. Two-Day, Saturday and Sunday general admission is available at $60 for adults, $15 for children 12-6 and free for kids 5 and under. Individual event general admission tickets and pit passes are also available, for day-by-day pricing find the weekend’s detailed schedule at www.acttour.com/thompson-speedway-schedule.
