The United Auto Racing Alliance (UARA) and Citrus County Speedway officials jointly announced today that the UARA National Super Late Models and UARA Sportsman Series will be returning to Citrus County Speedway in 2026. It will be the first time UARA has competed at the historic Florida venue since 2022.
“A huge night is being planned for the return of Sportsman cars to run 100 laps for the opener of 2026 and will be showcased in front of a huge crowd,” said Ricky Brooks, series owner and director. “We are looking forward to returning to the famed Citrus County Speedway for the first time in almost three years. Citrus is one of the premier tracks in Florida and our drivers, teams and fans have been asking for this return for a long time. We want to thank William Ray, for this opportunity to race again at Citrus County Speedway. We look forward to the return and many more events in the future.”
"Citrus County Speedway is excited to have the return of the UARA Series,” said William Ray, owner of Citrus County Speedway. “We have been watching their series at other tracks and are happy to see a lot of excitement building for the series. We look for this to be a sell out, so make sure you get here early and enjoy a GREAT night of family entertainment.”
Series officials have indicated that this event could offer additional purse monies as we get closer to the event on behalf of sponsors. More details will be announced on this event in the coming weeks.
The 2026 season will be here quicker than we realize, and it promises to be even bigger and even better. New venues, new partnerships, new divisions, and a few surprises await.
