Turner Brown Wins in Allen Turner PLM Debut, Jake Finch Takes Title

Five Flags Speedway and the Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series have become a launching point for many young, up-and-coming race car drivers looking to prove themselves against top-notch competition. On Saturday night, California's Turner Bown added his name to that conversation.

Brown took the lead from Dustin Smith with 25 laps to go in Saturday's Allen Turner Tuneup 100, the final race on the road to the 2026 Allen Turner Snowflake 125.

Already a two-time winner in the CARS Tour West Pro Late Model Series, Brown made his Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series debut on Saturday and immediately went to victory lane.

"It was a tough race," said Brown in victory lane. "Thanks to my spotter for reminding me every single lap, back up your corner, save your tire. This place has a lot of tire wear. When I saw the competition caution come out, I knew that was my opportunity to strike, cross them over in one and two."

With the win under his belt, Brown now has his sights set on returning to Five Flags Speedway for the Snowflake and going for that prestigious win.

"Of course, man. It helps to practice," siad Brown. "Hope we can see you guys' faces in December again and we can replicate it."

With a second-place finish, Jake Finch secured his second consecutive Allen Turner Pro Late Model championship. He was happy to claim another title for the Ronnie Sanders Racing team, and hopes to build on Saturday's performance heading into the Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 125 during Snowball Derby week.

"Any time you can get a season-long championship is good," Finch said. "A testament to everybody, Ronnie Sanders on this 18 car. Felt like we struggled there for our normal standards. Got a little bit of work to do for the Snowflake, and that's the main importance. I felt like it was okay. I'm more happy with this second than others. Just regroup and get ready for hte Super race, got a good car there."

Dustin Smith rounded out the podium, finishing third after leading the first 75 laps before Brown claimed the top spot.

"All thanks to all these guys, Greg, my dad, Smith Scrap and Salvage, they do a hell of a job on these cars throughout the year. Glad to come back and put it on the podium. Led a bunch tonight, but still got a little bit more work to do on this thing."

Zack Dixon finished fourth, with Ryan Luza rounding out the top five.

The next time cars will be on track at Five Flags Speedway is the Snowball Derby Preview on November 21. The open practice will set the stage for the 59th Annual Snowball Derby on December 3-6.
