Turn One CRA Pro Series Championship Battle Headed to Toledo

An exciting Turn One CRA Pro Series season and a compelling championship battle continue Sunday, August 9 with the House of Meats 100 at Toledo Speedway.

Five different drivers have won the first five races of the season in the Champion Racing Association's Pro Late Model touring series. Treyten Lapcevich, Chase Pinsonneault, Derek Kraus, Kyle Steckly and, most recently, Billy VanMeter have scored Turn One CRA Pro Late Model Series wins during the 2026 season.

Along with his win at Flat Rock Speedway, Pinsonneault has not finished worse than fifth in any Turn One CRA Pro Late Model Series race this season. That consistency gives him the lead in the championship standings after five races, with a 42-point lead over Blake Rowe and a 43-point lead over VanMeter.

Rowe, who won two races in the 2024 Turn One CRA Pro Series season, is still seeking his first win in 2026 with the tour. He has three runner-up finishes in the first five races, including a second-place finish to VanMeter last Friday at Birch Run Speedway in the VanDoorn Racing Development Dixie 100.

VanMeter is the defending series champion, seeking a repeat bid. While he has not finished worse than seventh, the win at Birch Run was VanMeter's first top-five finish of the season, and he hopes to build on that for momentum heading into the second half of the season.

The second half of the season includes some challenging tests, such as the Motor Mountain Masters 150 at Jennerstown Speedway, the Owosso Nationals at Owosso Speedway and the season-ending Winchester 100 at Winchester Speedway. That path begins with Sunday's House of Meats 100 at Toledo.

Currently, 19 cars are entered for Sunday's race, postponed from April due to inclement weather. Other drivers to watch in the field include fourth-place points man Kevin Cremonesi, Rookie of the Year leader Tyler Lupton and last year's Winchester 100 winner in Albert Francis.
