Jeb Burton will lead the field to the green flag for the State Water Heaters Krush 250 presented by Rogers benefitting the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation on Saturday at South Boston Speedway.
Burton clocked in at 15.125 seconds around the 0.400-mile South Boston Speedway, earning pole position for Saturday's 250-lap feature event. He'll be joined by 2023 Kulwicki Driver Development Program Finalist Jacob Borst on the front row.
"I told H.C. [Sellers] this morning that we were really fast here Tuesday. We changed some things right before we left that day. Ever since then, it hadn't been the same.
"We got back here this morning and really thought about it and put some of those adjustments back, and we're in the game. The last run before qualifying, I was like, man, we are in the game now."
Kaden Honeycutt, who won last year's Krush race at Orange County Speedway, qualified third, with 2024 Thanksgiving Classic winner Parker Eatmon alongside him on row two. Doug Barnes, Jr. rounded out the top five.
A field of 28 cars took time during the qualifying session on Saturday morning. The Late Model Stock feature takes the green flag at 2:30 p.m. ET.
"I really appreciate the fans coming out. It's going to be a heck of a show," said Burton. "250 laps, it's a long race, we're looking forward to it."
